Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!
You know, I went into this list expecting it to be a lot harder to pick. As it turns out, I got REALLY skimpy with my 5 star ratings this year! Wow. That’s just crazy. Here are almost ALL of the books I have 5 stars to this year!
Gretchen here, filling in for Marina this week while she tackles Latin homework and midterms. This week was a hard one, only because there were so many options that I could have picked. Although I may have cheated a little, but only if you’re definition of “sequel” is book two in a series. If not, then we’re good. đ These are in no particular order.
Welcome to this week’s wrap up and Stacking the Shelves! Over the next couple of weekends, I probably won’t be doing videos because I’m working like a crazy person and just don’t have time. So here’s the lowdown, in text form!
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king’s contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown â a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.
Keeping up the deadly charadeâwhile pretending to do the king’s biddingâwill test her in frightening new ways, especially when she’s given a task that could jeopardize everything she’s come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon — forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.Â
Where do the assassinâs loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?
5 stars

It has taken me a week or so to write this review. Why? Because I CANNOT HANDLE ALL THE FEELS I AM FEELING. STILL. EVEN NOW. Sarah J. Maas, someday I will meet you and cry at your feet because alksfkasdjbfsdfb. Erm. AnywaysâŚ
This week on Bibliomancy for Beginners, we’re reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas! This is my pick, and a book I’ve read before. If you want to see my review of the ARC I got last year, click HERE! If you’ve never heard of the book before, there’s some info below. Oh, and for next week we’re reading The Teleportation Accident by Ned Beauman.
Oh, and guess who just finished reading her ARC of Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2)? Me. So guess who might drop some hints in this video? đ
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass #1) by Sarah J. Maas
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin. Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king’s council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she’ll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.
Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her… but it’s the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.
Then one of the other contestants turns up dead… quickly followed by another.
Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.
I don’t know if this is for myself or you guys, but I’m going to start doing weekly wrap up posts along with my Stacking the Shelves videos. So if you want to watch the video…go! If you don’t, here’s a summary of what’s happening:
