I thought I could do a little book haul for this week, but it turns out I’ve acquired a looooot more books than I originally thought. Also, at the end there is a little life update for you guys about my most recent crazy life adventures and why I’ve got a new background to my videos. Remember to leave a comment and tell me what to read next!
From the Notebook
“I Work in a Bookstore!” Book Haul (FTN)
I’ve been working at a Barnes and Noble since October, and you can bet that all the while I’ve been accumulating books. It finally occurred to me that I had a bunch just hanging around–and the titles were all over the place–so I wanted to share them with you guys! If you’ve read any of these, please do let me know in the comments if you liked them or not!
Have My Reading Tastes Completely Changed?! (FTN)
I’m back with this week’s From the Notebook to discuss the recent change in my reading tastes, and the freak out that is causing in my personal identity. I’ve always been a teen reader, but I haven’t read a teen book since October. WHAT IS HAPPENING?
October 2016 Wrap Up
I am in love with this video for several reasons. The first is that October was a seriously weird reading month, so the books I read are all over the place and only like one of them was good. I think it was so good that it leeched all the potential for the rest of the month. Also, it’s the first time I’ve DNFed something in a really long time. Then there is the fact that I begin to slowly lose my mind as the video goes along. Anyways. Uh. Enjoy?
September 2016 Wrap Up (FTN)
September was a pretty dismal month for me, reading wise. It was also pretty dismal, life wise.I talk about where I was last week very briefly as well. HOWEVER, there is also some neat news for the coming videos (hint: scenery change!), which will also lead to (hopefully) a better schedule of joint videos for me and Michaela. ANYWAYS. Here’s this quick video!
Beating the Post-Grad Burnout (AKA I Wrote a Novel!) (FTN)
I guess I’m just giving you guys some emotional videos lately. This is about the end of my four-year belief that I couldn’t write for fun anymore, and my awkward words of encouragement for anyone else who might be feeling this way!
I Look “Ugly” on Booktube and That’s OK (FTN)
In which I talk about perceptions of female beauty and the struggles therein, especially when making YouTube videos. And also do a lot of ranting about the fact that everyone is just made to feel not confident in themselves all the damn time. A person’s cruelest judge can be themselves, and I am no exception to that. My viewers give me confidence, and I can’t thank you enough!
MASSIVE End of the Year TBR
Do you guys remember that PopSugar Reading Challenge TBR I did at the beginning of the year? Well, it really wasn’t cutting it. I haven’t been reading nearly enough of my challenge picks, and it’s time to change all that. I’ve updated my TBR and gotten serious about this thing! Here we go!
From the Notebook: July 2016 Wrap Up
GUYS. I read NINE books in July! What a spectacular feat. Four of them were even for my Popsugar Challenge. Not to mention the fact that I even LIKED most of them. I also did really well for reviewing the books I was reading, even if my Winner’s Curse review won’t be out until Friday and I haven’t filmed my Assassin’s Heart review yet. Both are coming, I promise! Other than that, here we go!
From the Notebook: Searching for the Joy in Reading
I’m here today to talk about something that you may have guessed: I haven’t been reading a lot recently. In the aftershock of having graduated from college, I’m just now beginning to realize that reading can be fun again. I’ve been struggling with this for a while now, but I think I’ve finally had my eureka moment! Here’s my explanation of what’s been going on and what I’m thinking now!
