This is a bit later than I anticipated, but here it is! I read 5 books in the first month of 2017, and I completed 5 PopSugar challenges. It was also a strange conglomeration of a bunch of different genres, physical books, audiobooks, etc. I’ve only review 2 of these on the channel so far, so I promise there is something interesting in here!

From the Notebook: Top Ten Series I Won’t Be Finishing
From the Notebook is back with some potentially unpopular opinions! I have the top ten series that I have cleared out of my Goodreads because I won’t be finishing them, from reasons ranging from outgrowing the writing to actual dislike. Be forewarned that I might say something not so nice about a book series you like! I’m sorry about that! However, I would love to have a conversation about why you think I’m wrong–or if you agree, of course! Let me know if I’m about to miss something at all, or if I’ve made the right call!

Weekly Wrap Up + What We Read 1/17/16
Betwixt the Books is back with another weekly wrap up, plus what we read this week! As an added bonus, I look like a very sad and botoxed chipmunk, since I just got my wisdom teeth out. This is a sight not to be missed, Michaela says. I say that you shouldn’t miss this video even though I look like … this. Anyways, without further ado!
Bibliomancy for Beginners Special: “The Magician King” by Lev Grossman
IT’S FINALLY HERE! As you guys may know, last year for our New Year’s Special, Bibliomancy for Beginners did a hangout for Lev Grossman’s The Magicians. Then, in our 2015 wrap up, Michaela and I both agreed that the hangout was one of our favorites of the year. All three of us thought that we had such a great discussion, and were so interested/annoyed/intrigued/confused by the series as a whole, that we unanimously decided to do ANOTHER January special on the follow up to The Magicians, The Magician King.
Now, I don’t want to give anything away, but I’ll give you a hint of what do expect: the emotions, issues, and feelings from that first video? They’ve increased EXPONENTIALLY in this one. Get ready for one hell of a ride as bibliomancy begins!
Bibliomancy for Beginners New Year’s Special! – “The Magicians” by Lev Grossman
GUESS WHO’S BACK! In this trifecta special, the Bibliomancers welcome back yours truly from the UK and send another off – Taylor has decided he’d rather be in Scotland for a semester than with us.
But anyhow. In this New Years special we’re kicking it off with The Magicians by Lev Grossman. It’s going to be a good one, I promise!
