It’s that time again! I’m going to try my hardest to get you guys all caught up on what I’m reading, starting with this episode of James Garfield to William McKinley, minus Benjamin Harrison because nobody really recently has cared about him I guess. This is a video with two really interesting books sandwiching some meh ones. Enjoy, fellow history nerds!
It’s been a year since episode one, but I’ve been having trouble making videos–not reading! Last year I started a reading challenge to read at least one biography on every American President, and I’m really getting there! Enjoy episode 2 on John Tyler to Rutherford B. Hayes (minus a few because they’re playing hard to get…).
Hey guys! Doing some video back posting on the blog because live has been crazy, but not to worry. I haven’t been making a ton of videos in the last year since I’ve posted. This one is about a reading challenge I started that is still ongoing where I try to read at least one biography on every United States President! Why? Watch and find out!
Michaela and I picked this one out for a PopSugar challenge for a book popular the year we were born, and really thought we’d like it. We didn’t! We were surprised! And sad! Find out why…
I’ve been adding a weird hodgepodge of books together recently, and I’ve got enough now to make a new book haul interesting. Enjoy this mash up of history nonfiction and YA!
Hey look at us! We’re back again, starting a round of nonfiction picks. The first is Michaela’s pick, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlyn Doughty. We all know how I feel about squeamish things, so this book was just so much fun.
In which I discuss plot convenience, Name of the Wind, struggles with reading and the double standards between nonfiction and fiction.
I thought I could do a little book haul for this week, but it turns out I’ve acquired a looooot more books than I originally thought. Also, at the end there is a little life update for you guys about my most recent crazy life adventures and why I’ve got a new background to my videos. Remember to leave a comment and tell me what to read next!
Back again! With more nonfiction! I’m really sorry I can’t kick this but I hope you like it! I loved this book more than Princess Diarist, especially because it had more cohesion to it. It just wasn’t entirely what I expected, either…
Also, I really thought I’d fixed the video proportion problem but it still exported this way? I may need more technical expertise than I have with the new editor I’m using…
I am currently reading too many things, and I can’t finish a one. Some of them are harder to finish by myself, like my story time books with Michaela, but some of these are just plain old my fault. Also, Name of the Wind is a REALLY LONG AUDIOBOOK, OKAY?
