2022 Q1 Wrap Up

This is so many books. I am so tired. This is an incredible speed run, if I do say so myself, and it’s still 30 minutes long. I need to … read less.

My Best and Worst of 2021

Want to know my top 5 and bottom 5 books of 2021? Of course you do … or you wouldn’t be here. Most of it is romance, since that was the bulk of the ~240 books I read this year, but one history book makes the best list … and of course it’s about Richard Nixon. What a year. Onto 2022!

2021 Q1 Wrap Up | 32 Books Between Jan and Mar

I tried so very, very hard to make this quick, but 32 books do not make for a fast time, even though I’ve already reviewed many of these on the channel. Actually, I was amazed how few I’d even talked about! This has something for everyone who reads as weirdly as me: young adult, fantasy, romance, and nonfiction. You can also skip towards the end to get my top pick so far in each category. Enjoy!

January 2017 Wrap Up

This is a bit later than I anticipated, but here it is! I read 5 books in the first month of 2017, and I completed 5 PopSugar challenges. It was also a strange conglomeration of a bunch of different genres, physical books, audiobooks, etc. I’ve only review 2 of these on the channel so far, so I promise there is something interesting in here!

Top 5 Disappointing Books of 2016

Well. Here we are. There are my top 5 disappointing reads in 2016. I chose them based not on whether or not I think they were bad books, but rather that the expected enjoyment was far and away not what I got from the book in general. Enjoy, I guess?

Betwixt the Books: Pop Sugar Reading Challenge 2016 Wrap Up

When Michaela said she needed a 2 minute video of us dancing, I should have said no. I’m glad I didn’t though, because this is one of the funniest videos that we’ve made in a while that Michaela put SO MUCH WORK INTO. Speaking of, from Michaela:

The song is Destroying the World by Algar… just some happy 8-bit music to dance to.

I apologize for this being a tad late. I’m the one that wanted to do something schmancy. I think it was fun to do … even if it took literal hours for me to edit… I PUT EFFORT IN GOD DAMMIT … and we got to be a bit silly and relaxed.

Some of you might note that we did not complete all 40 challenges, and we didn’t even really finish a couple, but we are halfway through them and we do plan to continue on… so you can’t fault us that much for saying they are WIP. If you want to hear why we are okay with not reaching the goal and why we are still willing to do another challenge despite failing the first time around we did a lovely discussion of it. Check that out if you so desire.

As far as everything else goes,

we wish you luck in the new year, whether you will be challenging yourself or not. With this or one of the many other challenges there are out there. I have been ruminating on making a couple of challenges for myself personally to try and complete, based on my own aspirations.

Again, HAPPY NEW YEAR … shall it be fruitful, gossamer, and ebullient…. everything that the past year has not been for me. New beginnings and all that.

October 2016 Wrap Up

I am in love with this video for several reasons. The first is that October was a seriously weird reading month, so the books I read are all over the place and only like one of them was good. I think it was so good that it leeched all the potential for the rest of the month. Also, it’s the first time I’ve DNFed something in a really long time. Then there is the fact that I begin to slowly lose my mind as the video goes along. Anyways. Uh. Enjoy?
