Top Ten Books Featuring Travel In Some Way

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!

This is going to be the loosest top ten list I EVER make. It is also a top ten list made up of my most current reads. I’m sure there are others, but I found ten of them and I decided not to push it. 😛

1. The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa

This book takes us on a journey from Eden to New Covington, and is about what happens to Allie along the way. It’s quest-like nature is something I talked about at length in my review.

2. Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins

This book is practically MADE of travelling; boat, air, you name it. The first one had some too, just not as much and not as broad as this one.

3. The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer

Talk about an OLDIE. I didn’t even expect to like this, but the tales the travelers tell are actually pretty hysterical.

4. Splintered by A. G. Howard

I’m getting away with this one because Alyssa is travelling to and from Wonderland. That counts! …right?

5. Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill

This entire novel would have no basis if the main characters didn’t travel to London, and there’s a bit of intercity travelling done as well.

6. Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff

There is travel in this book by land, by sea and by thunder tiger. Any arguments are invalid. Every book should have travel by thunder tiger.

7. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

This is NOT cheating! In the first book, Allie takes a journey from New Covington to Eden. It’s not the same thing as the second book. Really.

8. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

This book has no basis if the main character hadn’t traveled to Paris.

9. The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

The main character’s greatest period of growth occurs while she’s being brought across the desert by kidnappers. I say that counts.

10. Lady Knight by Tamora Pierce

Okay, Kel does spend a lot of this novel at a refugee camp, but she also goes to Fort Mastiff and then off to save her child refugees!
